Type 3 Rev Counter Wiring

Help! my 72 fastback is fitted with a VDO rev counter, which has never worked while I have owned the car, probably due to the lack of wiring to the rev counter. can anyone suggest which wires and colours of wires should go to the three terminals on the back of the rev counter. I will try to attach a couple of pics.

While I dont know the order or colours as it an aftermarket item. It will be + - and a supply from the could negative side.
