Should wipers park ?

Post by FASTY72 » 26th January 2015 - 5:29pm

Should the wipers on my 72 Fastback park at the bottom when I turn them off ? They don't at the moment. If they should what could the problem be?
Cheers

Yes I think so. I believe if one of the wires on the motor is not connected it will not do this. I'm sure someone will be able to confirm this for us.

looking at the wiring diagram it is the black / grey one (53a).
It supplies current after the switch is operated until the motor reaches the park position when it is turned off internally.

Also check how many positions you have. You should have 3. If there are 4 then there is abit of plastic removed allowing the arm to go into the intermittent position.
