412 1700 fi parts

Post by bfr123 » 28th January 2015 - 1:49pm

Can anyone tell me if a throttle body off a porsche 924 will fit the 1700 fi engine :?:

I have a 1700 engine but it is missing a few things such as ECU & loom, Throttle Body, Alternator, Starter motor, Fan shroud, all of which I would need to keep this as a fuel injection unit, alternatively, I could convert it to carbs.

So, does anyone have any of the above or a carb conversion kit for sale?

I have this available:

Someone with access to a Type 4 parts book could perhaps check out the part number to see if it suits.

The throttle valve housing number is actually 062 , suffix A from engine W 0057035, B or C for EA engines up to Aug 72, but two different models are specified - 022:1,3 and 022: 2,4 (don't know what those model specs are without digging further, and 063 F for the earlier W engine series.

The switch 111 B is for engines from W 0129582 and all EA engines. I can't do anything more than read and report on this topic!
Dave.

Yes, you are spot on, this is what I want. might be easier to convert to carbs though as parts are pretty scarce for these
