Can anyone recommend a product to apply to the bare metal inside the heater channels before I fit the outer sills, needs to be weldable though?

Weld-through primer is about the only thing i can think of. That won't last forever though so maybe worth injecting wax after the welding is done?

I drilled some holes that will be covered by the sill trim and injected cavity wax
