Rusty floor pans!

Post by vweddy69 » 20th April 2016 - 8:04am

So carpets stripped out ready for new being fitted and it was a bit more rusty under there than hoped for. Welding is arranged for a couple of weeks time so will delay new carpet being fitted. As a new owner it is worth mentioning that the rear floor pan section is lower thanvthe front, so this is the area you need to inspect when looking to buy.

Fronts go as well particularly at the outside edges, but yes the biggest holes are normally at the rear.
Does it need a repair section then, or will it patch up?

We are going to try a short term repair, but will need a floor pan section at some point.
