Painting Fuchs 2.0's
Painting Fuchs 2.0's
Hi All,
I thought I would share a little bit of work I did this morning.
My square had 914 Fuchs on it when I bought it & I've never loved them.
I don't like the high gloss finish, so I decided to take a Scotch Pad to them to dull them down.
I went over them once with a course pad, then with a medium pad.
I tried to use a circular motion to avoid deep scratches.
Pretty pleased with the outcome.

Re: Ageing Fuchs 2.0's with Scotch Pad
Hi
Love the square
Just wondering how much you have lowered it at the back?

Re: Painting Fuchs 2.0's
An update on the Fuch's.
Still not loving them, so going for another approach.
I am going for a brushed effect on the rims & the rest in semi gloss black.
I'm using Würth semi gloss black paint, as from a bit of research this is meant to be as close as you can get to the original Porsche paint:

Re: Painting Fuchs 2.0's
I scuffed the alloy & paint with Scotch pads & masked the rims:
3 coats of acid etch primer drying overnight:
More to follow.

Re: Painting Fuchs 2.0's
Think you would have been better off swapping them for my steels, beauty rings & hub caps in the first place, you know that's what u will end up doing lol
Re: Painting Fuchs 2.0's
I think you're probably right.
All good fun though!
