My new mats

Post by kinga » 26th January 2017 - 7:25pm

Hi all,

Not really technical, but thought this would be the best place to post this.

So, since buying my fastback, I have wanted to protect the lovely carpets. I have looked everywhere but not found any tailored overmats, so look what I had made up at Bromsgrove Auto Trimmers..picked then up this afternoon..

German narrowweave carpet tailor made to my templates with cream edging.

can't wait to fit them, but hoping that I made the templates the right size!

How much were they? & Did they keep the templates?

Very nice, a job I've been meaning to get around to, as like yourself, finding RHD tailored mats has been a fruitless search so far.

Not sure about the price as I had some other stuff done at the same time & they gave me a price for the lot.

I have phoned them this afternoon to get a price for mats only & waiting for them to get back to me.

They said that they have thrown the templates away, but mine were for my RHD automatic, so if anyone wanted them you could aways make your own out of paper & send them to Bromsgrove Auto Trimmers.

I was hoping to check the fit tomorrow but the car's covered & the weather doesn't look the best.

I made my templates up to cover as much of the carpet as I could as the carpets are really nice & don't want them to get dirty.

I had my carpets made up at Madmatz, they did a great job, can't wait to show them off at Stanford Hall.
