Bottom end rebuild

Post by Joe_bury » 15th October 2017 - 10:51pm

Hi all,
Just seeing if anyone can recommend a supplier for a bottom end rebuild kit. About to redo my spare it'll be my first rebuild and looking to keep it standard. Located in Australia but happy to order from U.K. and US too.
Need to be good quality parts. Any recommendations on supplier or kits would be great.
Thank you
Joe

VWheritage, stateside tuning and custom and commercial are good here in the UK. I dont think anyone does kit, but you can buy all the parts individually.

Id try stateside tuning first and speak to jim, hes a wise man.

Great thanks Broady that's a big help. Started to price up a bottom end rebuild seems to be a bit more than I'd thought it'll be but worth it in the long run. Came across some Scat kits too which look good. Just weighing up my options

aye, the quality parts arent cheap. but they do last. What bits are you buying? And what are you wanting to build? Do say a type 3 engine :p
