Hi everyone
Can I use a 66 type3 vaccum advance distributor on a 71 engine? its not fuel injection...

Yes you can more or less use any air cooled distributor on any air cooled engine. But it may not run as smoothly, efficently or cool as it would with the original spec. If you are replacing an SVDA with another SVDA from a carburetor engine and manual car, you should have little issue if any at all.

is it an Single Vacuum Dual Advance? I assume thats what you are removing?

ah yes, but thats not original and theyre crap any way. The SVDA youre fitting will be much better
