clutch cable

do i need to take off the pedal assembly to chsnge the clutch cable? my adjuster wing nut is rusted on to the old one...

It can be easier, but it is possible to do it without removing the assembly, But you will have to get that wing nut off before you can do anything else, unless you just plan to cut the cable

I cant seem to find a hook on the pedal- like the jon muir book says.
So where is the cable at the pedal end attached?

Inside the tunnel. I assume your RHD. in which case take the plate off the side of the tunnel on the passenger side. Remove the throttle cable lever and then two 17mm head set screws from memory. Then remove the pedal stop on the drivers side to allow the clutch pedal to fall to the floor, that should unhook it. id advise removing your carpets as the old cable will likely have grease on and make a mess if you slip ect.
