carbs whats the best

i would like to upgrade my carbs any thoughts i have twin solex at the moment would like some thing straight fit ready to go advise please

On a stock engine? I'd stick with the standard carbs to be honest. We'll sorted standard engines will happily do 70mph. If you want more power then its best to consider the engine as a whole. Each part works either every other. Changing the carbs alone may get you a couple of hp. But something like dell 36s aren't as good of a fit as the solex32s.

All depends what you're aiming for?

for standard 1600 - have your carbs reconditioned and you'll be happy.
for a tuned motor - go for dellorto 36mm carbs on short manifolds and small venturies to retain drivability.
avoid any remanufactured carbs like empi - they are nowhere as good as your stock solexes...
