which fuse?
which fuse?
hi guys was just wondering which fuse is it or what do i need to get for my rear brake lights? both have stopped working, when i put my head lights on the rear bulbs light up but when u press the pedal they dont come on. any ideas?
Re: which fuse?
Could be the brake light switch on the master cylinder.
Take the two cables off the brake switch and connect them together, if the brake lights come on then it's the switch that's faulty.
If not, it's the fuse/cable/connections.

Re: which fuse?
Doesn't sound like a fuse. Are the dual-filament bulbs in the rear light units fitted the right way round? Sounds like it could be that the headlight circuit is connecting to the brake light filaments and the brake light circuit trying to reach the tail light filaments but not managing because the bulbs won't be seated properly. Or it could be bad earths, which can do strange things - most likely near the light units. Worth checking the wiring at the fuse box and on to the headlight switch too.
