Side markers

Post by kinga » 10th June 2019 - 7:10pm

Hi all.
I assume the side marker lights are supposed to come on with the lights? Mine don't!
Took the lens off yesterday and both mine appear to have working bulbs and wires going to them. They have orange bulbs in.
Any suggestions s where to look first?
Thanks.

Orange bulbs makes it sound like indicator repeaters to me. Esther than side lights

Yeah, I thought that when I saw the bulbs.
I will have to try and trace the wires as they go through the wing to see where they are connected to..when it stops raining!!

They should be connected at the steering column terminal strip. I converted mine to repeaters, but you'll need to drop the column for access.
From left to right, terminal 2 is left indicator and terminal 6 is right indicator. Terminals 3 and 5 are the original side marker connections.

For euro spec cars they are parking lights as standard, so with the main lights off and the ignition key out, moving the indicator arm should light up one side or the other.
