hi all as my fastback has been sitting for years looking to change fuel lines as some have perished. I have re done all in the engine bay and re built the carbs. I now am looking at replacing the front lines but can't seem to find a fuel filler neck as top of mine has perished. I know some of the beetle parts are interchangeable does anyone know if this is the case?
Thanks in advance
TYPE 3 FUEL PIPES
Re: TYPE 3 FUEL PIPES
There is only one rubber line at the front. From the tank into the tunnel in the chassis. There is also the line from the back of the chassis along side the gearbox and up to the engine bay. Did you include that one in your engine bay change? The beetle filler next is different to the type 3 one. But it's just a generic piece of fuel proof tube. If you measure yours, google will be able to find you a replacement. I can give you the part number this evening if you would like? I'd assume ispwest, wcm or the usual suppliers will be able to help you if you cant find some tube else where.

This looks a bit pricey tbh, I'd see if you can approach Simon Kelly as I believe he reproduces them ,or possibly see if Dan at 1033 Type 3 might have some? Failing that, there is this?
