Seat Runner Lubrication

Is there any recommended lubrication for Type 3 Seat Runners ?

One of my Plastic Seat Runners has broken, so I’ll be replacing either just that one or all 4.

Only thing I can think of that is not going to melt and run away is Graphite.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't need any lubrication.

I don't think they do, but a very thin smear of graphite grease wouldn't do any harm.

Grease will attack the plastic though, if anything use a silicone lube.

Yep you're right Simon, they're nylon so naturally self lubricate.if you must then use a pencil and rub the graphite on the runner. Dont use grease, it will cause the nylon to go brittle and crack

Whether it's right or wrong, I had to put a small amount of silicone lube on my new runners, as the seats were very difficult to move. They move much more freely now.
