where is the main beam switch on my 69 squareback

just getting my square resto ready for mot and can seem to find it

i know the rhs arm when pulled back is something to do with it - any help

Left-hand arm does the dipping. On '72 the RH arm is the wipers.
There should be a relay that changes over between main and dipped beams when the lever is pulled.

Wiring diagrams are at http://www.hallvw.clara.co.uk/vwwiring.htm; they will help you find the colours to look for to find the relay.
