Another thought on my Master Cylinder problem!!

Post by Rich Oakley » 14th February 2008 - 7:37pm

The plug for the reservoir inlet is on the top of the cylinder (as you would expect). The three outlets for the brake pipes are on the bottom of the cylinder. Is this correct??

I can't see a problem with that. The only comment I've seen in the Factory Manual on master cylinders is that if the outlets have different size drillings, the ones with similar size holes are for the brake lines and the one with a smaller hole is the brake light switch.

I think that may concern the tandem m/c for the two front lines; some have fronts on opposite sides and others have them the same side with the brake-light switch opposite. I don't remember far enough back to our '64.
