I'm having problems getting some brake pads for the front of my squareback,GSF have sent me two different sets but they don't fit.I was told that Volvo 240/260 rear brake pads fitted but Ive tried them and they don't fit.Now Ive got some mk1 escort pads that will a bit of trimming will fit.
But i was wondering what pads you guys are using and where you get them from.

Left is beetle,right should be volvo 240/vw type 4/vw late type3
So,If your pad retaining pins are at 36mm centres,you need Type 1 '67>
Pads.
If pins are at 45mm centres,(& caliper retaining bolts at 80mm centres),You need volvo 240 rear pads

my square's a '72 with late calipers. I got mine from here:

If beetle pads (for early model) or volvo pads (for late model) dont fit then I think you have non standard callipers.
