endfloat play???

endfloat play???

what causes endfloat play and how do u get rid of it? i no its just shims to make the play less n there needs 2 b a slight bit but is there anything else? looked through the book n its got all this jargon n i got a bit lost in what i was readin.

so can some1 please giv us the down-low

You need an engine rebuild

As has been said, if you have more than a tiny bit of end float its not good and you will need to have an engine rebuild. It means that things have worn much more than is reasonable and will require new bearings and possibly crank etc, but you will only be able to tell on the case split. 8)

my m8 jus asked me n i thought i could do it n i jus watched a video on it. it didnt seem that much of a bad job i got a bit bored i jus rebuilt my own engine 4 my t3 2 a 1641 n 4got 2 check it but was ok b4 i stripped it so it shud b ok but now i remembered im gonna double check it tho :lol:
