My Notch is in having the front and rear window seals replaced as well as the bottom corners of the front screen replaced.
Just had a call from the bodyshop to say the front is done but the rear is a pain in the arse.
They managed to get the seal on the window and fitted but despite what they try, they are unable to get the trim into the rubber.
Anyone had a problem like this??
The rubbers were sourced from T3D so I assumed they would be top banana.
Bit gutted as I was hoping the Notch would be back for my local club meet tomorrow night.

In this case they said that the trim goes on the glass and then it goes in, and the trim goes in at the end...........
It turns out that the rubber that was sent was in fact too small.
A new one will be there on Monday.
That means I might be able to drive it to work one day next week!!
Yip Yip!

Peter's right. Fit the metal moulding to the rubber, then the rubber to the glass, then the assembly to the car.
Use soapy water (or tyre fitting soft-soap) rather than washing-up liquid for lubricant. Use cord not thin string to pull back the lip when fitting - pull along the face of the glass.
