type 411 parts needed

Post by Dai-mond » 30th July 2010 - 5:29pm

Afternoon folks

been off the radar for a while but the trusty 411 is on the road in NZ. Im loving driving it and its all coming together nicely.
Im here in the uk for a holiday at the moment and im hoping to pick up a few parts fro the 411.
I was told a while ago about a couple who ran a type 4 parts shop(or something like this) somewhere in the uk. I have a feeling that they are in the south somewhere and i really wanted to get hold of them .
does anyone have any idea who this could be?
contact details would be amazing.

Parts im after....
all for a cyclops headlamp 411 1969.
period radio
glove box lid.
underdash heater pipes.
engine funnel grill. (sits on the top of the funnel and is right under your nose when you open the deck lid)
steering wheel

cheers loads in advance folks

Hi Dave, what do you of our English summer so far?

They are Jane and Bryan Terry at Volksfarmers and they are near to Ashford/Canterbury, they are advertised on here in the services section but to save you time hunting the contact number is below. I think they might indeed have most of the bits on your little shopping list as well

01303 840374

you might need to try a couple of times to get through to them but be persistant.

Enjoy your holiday

Hi Dave
Good news is Bryan says we have all that you are looking for but if you cant get us on the above number ring 01303840241 in the evenings. The trouble is it is summer time and if the sun is shining we are making hay. Best bet is to watch the weather and if it is raining in this area we will be in.

once again shawn you are always quick off the mark. ! cheers loads.
sorry for being so quiet. been manic at work and busy planing this HUGE trip to see family and friends.
fingers crossed ive left enough space in my suitcase for all these bits.
I'll update some pics when i get back to Wellington and when the interior is sorted out.

These last few bits should complete the restoration.

There will be plenty of room in the suitcase unless you're after an engine or door. Just throw away all but essential clothes for the journey home!
Jane and Bryan have a sheep farm - they might rope you in to help!
Dave.
