412le brake pads and discs

Post by Jane Terry » 15th January 2006 - 9:56pm

Discs are not that easy but the pads are relatively easy as they fit quite a few models. Such as mercedez, audi and something else they may have a groove in the middle of the pad but they will fit. If you have a good brake supplier in your area you can take the pad in and they will match it. I know the mercedez is a late eighties model as we had a customer that had a set off our shelf. If you find discs it is not so straightforward as there is difference with the hub seal setting you find that the disc catches on the backing plate if it is the wrong one. So make sure you have the correct measurements for the internals as well as the externals.

wheel bearings, flexible brake pipes are the same for 1302/3.nothing is matching on steering or suspension. engine gasket sets are roughly the same for type 2a (1700,1800,2000 camper) as well as exhausts. heat exchangers not heater boxes as originally fitted are a lot better option as you do actually get heat from the engine which is drier than the eberspacher and a lot safer if you dont know what you are dealing with. Order pre 79 as the tops of the heat exchangers will be the same.
