type 3 headlight flasher relay to type one comparison

hi i have a problem with my 68 square headlight flasher relay its a 5 pin 12 volt one . had it a part and cleaned it and refitted but still works intermittantly . will a bug or bus on do the same job ? im guessing it should as long as i can find one with the same 5 pins ? cheers steve

Yep if you get one for a similar year bug it'll be exactly the same, should have the same numbers on the pins.
Looking at drawings it was originally 4 pin, I'm guessing earthing through the metal case, so your's is probably plastic with extra earth tag.

Just beware of the duff batch of them that gsf had recently!
Do you know tofufi??-He's got a couple in his garage (a couple of good type 3 ones)

just been doing a part number search for them new from £13. to nearly £17 . i do know tofufi but not seen him for a while do you happen to have his mobile no i could give him a bell ? cheers steve . he probably knows me as welsh steve !!! ta again
