Not without changing the rear wings as the holes are a lot smaller on early lights. Keep it as vw intended it's way cooler with it's correct lights, panels, interior. Late models are just as cool mate ;-)

Blame the big lights on the USA for their safety regs, as well as several other changes that made for more safety. Oddly the USA went back to the bullet front lights for '69 as the wrap around ones couldn't be seen from the side.

Please excuse my editing the title - if someone searches it's easier to find. We keep all the posts except adverts after a few months.

Early front indicators do fit well enough onto late front wings though, need to drill a new bolt hole and they dont cover 100% of the massive late body cut out but if you line them up just in the right spot then there really not bad.

Always wondered why nobody's ever made after market smaller / rounder lenses for late rears though, cant see it would be that hard if ya had the right equipment or knew the right guy in china!!

Some Ghias do have nice neat tail-lights that seem to be a small version of the Type 3 ones. However, it would probably be cheaper to have them made new. :-)

However you would have to mod the rear wings too.
