trailing arms?

hi me again, you may have guessed im not very clued up! right, i've just noticed some pretty serious rust(holes) in my rear trailing arm,r/h side is this another unique part,if so would it be an m.o.t. faliure if i had it welded? as allways anyones help would be appriciated. cheers Darren.
