door mirrors

hi an easy one for ya....

do type 1 door mirrors fit type 3's (year 72)..

im looking at the ones from g.s.f...anyone tried them??

Yes they fit, but there are differences - the threaded part on Type 3 mirrors have a flange and clear washer to seal on the face of the door, while Beetle ones don't, though they usually have a black plastic flange that keeps water out instead.
