Type 3 doors, how different are they?

Hi guys,
Building a type 3 race car from a 64 notch I got. I was looking to replace the doors as they are well past its best. I have seen a later NOS door which seems to have a later handle recess. Did later doors differ anywhere else, such as hinges and door lock mechanism holes etc or will it bolt straight on? I may weld in the handle recess from the rotten door to the nos one

Notchbacks have different hinges (they have 3 fixings in each hhinge - square/fastbacks have 2), but they can be swapped.
Locks and catches are different and not interchangeable between early and late.
The drop glass, winder and quarter lights will transfer across, but I guess you won't be using them.

Where are the early/late changeovers? I have a 64 notch but have seen an nos door dated 1965 on the ticket and hoping that will fit?

Sorry, by later I thought you ment 70's... If its a 65 it will be the same - even the hinges. The problems start after 66.
Nice find btw. I was looking for years for early doors.
