trigger contacts

hi all hope you can help me out ...i need a set of trigger contacts that fit in the dizzy on a t4 Fi ...the ones that send the signal for the injectors to fire and NOT the spark plugs, i tried a set off a 914 but they dont fit the hole in the side of the dizzy where they slot in, any ideas where i can get a new set or a part No that might help....thanks in advance Shaggy

Part number is 311 905 301 - same as the Type 3 part.

Are they faulty, or just missing? Usually they don't need replacement - sometimes they need cleaning with a piece of card drawn betwen them. Don't file or dress them with a stone. They simply act as an electronic switch, don't carry any significant current and rarely fail.
The cam heel may wear if there's no lubricant on the cam, and sometimes the spring breaks, but it's unusual.

You will not get much change from £50 for a new set, so it's worth trying to get the old ones serviceable.

Try Jane and Bryan Terry down on the farm - 01303840241 (now corrected!). Yes, Danny, you are right of course - senior moment - I was trying to recall it from the one it was originally! That explains why it didn't sound quite right.
