THE TECH.FOR TO REPAIR SLIDER SWITH
THE TECH.FOR TO REPAIR SLIDER SWITH
hello,,412 fans,, thanks DAVE,, if you have a problem with your front fan, the fault is from the slider control . If the right side slider doesn't make contact for the motor, remove all the slider frame and disconnect the cable,, and the common problem is we broke the plastic pin inside the slider. We can change all the parts on the right slider by the left side slider parts, and it is good for another 30 years
Re: THE TECH.FOR TO REPAIR SLIDER SWITH
Hi - yes I just had to repair my slider switch this weekend. I had to screw a small screw into the back of the plastic slider to hold the cable in place. The plastic easily breaks after 40 years!

Mine was broken, too, good luck I have another whole dashboard (without any single crack), where I could 'steal' the neccessary parts off, maybe I will switch the whole dash in some day, but too much trouble right now. I just bought a dash cover from the states, fits very well and hides all imperfections.
