Years back there was a TV series called GBH on a Liverpool special school with Michael Palin as the Head, but the real star was the beige Type 3 Variant he drove. I've got bits of it on video-tape somewhere - mostly the bits with the Variant featured.

Looks like it's available on DVD but who knows, they may have cut out all the Variant scenes.

Type IV teacher event LOL.
(Just got back from after school detention.)
For now, I'd settle for a decent line up at a show. When we're up to 60 type IV cars we can have a breakaway teaching faction!

There was a set of 412 front wings on here for sale as for removing the vinyl stickers use a hair dryer and ease them off pulling gentley dont rush it and the glue should come off with the vinyl if there is any residue then isopropel alcohol will clean it off with no damage to the paint.

Awesome car by the way, all the kids know a cool car when they see it! :D

Hope you saw my other thread the damn variant wont start now!! So I'm starting to hate it!
Also, cant get parts for love nor (reasonable) money and I need a new wing to smarten her up.

editor - I wonder if you can get some kids to put your video clips onto a computer so we can see them here?

KPS70 - Glad to see you detention finished at 4.48! I don't finish teaching until 5pm and can't leave until 6. (But then I do work in a posh school - Durham School)
I sold out becuase I got sick of the poor behaviour in my last job. Best thing I ever did teaching-wise!

When I taught in a tough school, I was so drained I used to sleep most of the evening. Next school was very academic and I spent most of the evening marking. You can't win!

The kids might help - when they next get down to see us! My eldest did help me transfer a saved file from the Humax and dug up a program to convert it to mpg. Maybe I can get the Humax to record from the video player via the TV. Trouble is, I don't want to mess up the system for TV!

Will I - it was a Type 3 Variant!

There have probably been Type 4 stars - just not sure I can recall any, but a google search might turn up some.

If you want to spot Type 4s in films have a look at this

although we do seem to have deviated a little from the original topic here ;)
