what size is the crank on a 1.7 t4 motor and piston size? i got a t4 motor and it was supposed 2 b a 2.0L but i read the code n its a CA engine which according to what i hav now read is a 1.7. so i am servearly P!$$ed off! plus it aing got half the $h!t that was supposed 2 b on it And theres a hole in 1 of the heads which im assuming it was 4 a guage of some sort as it has a thread but the hole goes through to the valve end of the head. i dont hav a clue.
anyway i no the 2L engine supposed 2 hav 94 pistons and 71 crank n im praying the crank is the same for the 1.7.
also wud a t1 head fit the t4 block if it was opened out to fit the b&p's? reason being is that its going in my bug n i the the t4 heat exchangers may need changing, too long and im doing some hi-po mods n it wud make it easier and cheaper. i dont no if the pistons are further apart or the pushrod wud b at too much of an angle n cause probs
cheers guys, kyle

Re: cylinder bore and stroke sizes? 1.7,1.8,2.0 NOW WITH ANS
its ok ive found out now. just in case people want to know its 66mm crank for the 1.7 and 1.8 with 90mm pistons for the 1.7= 1679 cc and 92mm for the 1.8 = 1755cc. and 71mm crank with 94mm pistons for the 2L = 1971cc
the formula is (bore X bore X stroke X 0.0031416 = cc)
the formula is (bore X bore X stroke X 0.0031416 = cc)
