The centre link can be rebuilt using bronze instead of the nylon in the bottom of the pins. The details can be found on the shoptalkforums

Ground to a halt at the moment

Need to source the bronze to put in it and then crack on...

Let us know when you get it sourced because there are probably quite a few on here keen to get some at the same spec as you.
(I forsee a cottage industry perhaps??!!)

BTW - had to get new tyres on my 412 and the slightly lower profile has almost entirely cured my wheel wobble and I havent even had a chance to fit my new ball joints yet. (i cant remember the new profile but it has made one hell of a difference.)

The new balancing probably helped too.
I got my centre link bushes made up at a metal workshop in the Forest of Dean. I think they charged me £60 for the bronze bushes and washers made to fit in the centre link as well as a bronze bush in the idler arm.
