What sort of price would you pay for a second hand/lowmileage but reliable type 4 engine complete?

I think they go for anything from £200 upwards depending on how good the engine is but I think the average price is about £400+ for a good secondhand one

but then there is one that is for £6k !!!!!!

But that looks nothing like what's in the Barb? Have I got it wrong that a 412 has a type 4 engine?

Funny mis-shapen rocker covers says it is a Type 4 but it's not the 'flat' one you need in a 411 or 412. Buses got the Type 4 engine as the flat form from about '72 I think. I didn't think they went back to an upright in buses - that's probably meant as a 1600 replacement.
