Hello there,
I am new to the forum and am looking for information about tuning a type 4 engine and have a few questions.
The car is a 1963 car, has been well looked after but it is stock, at 4k, so..should I leave it stock at this price for classic collectable reasons or is it fine to upgrade one at this price level.
I was aiming for 150-200 hp 2232 cc and wondered who to go to in the uk. - Certainly seems lots of tuners stateside, but I am not really keen on the importing costs and wondered if I could get a better deal over here in England
Would a smaller turbo engine be cheaper than the above? say a 1600-1800 cc
How do you cope with the extra heat being air cooled?
How much would it cost, to build, I was thinking around 4k for the engine, am I even close??
Additional costs brakes and suspension costs?
Overall costs for the upgrades associated with the car.
Rust isn't too bad, can we dealt with some works
thanks
Iain
