VW TYPE 3 & 4 CLUB FORUM

Joining us for the weekend, and running on track on Saturday will be Dave Taylor in his 5.0litre Chevrolet powered Super Saloon Beetle:

Live on our rally stage on the Saturday, we will have Bob Beales in his rally bug and Walter Ainsworth in his mk1 Golf, of For The Love Of Cars fame!

I've got a load more entertainment booked for this now, in addition to the on-track action going on the Saturday, entertainment wise we have:

Friday evening:
The Nix
Rival bones

Saturday:
Loose Change Buskers for Cancer Research UK throughout the day
The Mighty Aslan (early evening acoustic slot)
Lucy Mae
The Bright Black
Jeramiah Ferrari (headliners, awesome Reggae ska band, have been doing pre-match gigs at the Etihad stadium etc.)

Sunday:
Loose Change Buskers throughout the day

Saturday will consist of the full BRSCC card including Fun Cup, with exhibition vehicles as detailed in here plus others, on the Rally Stage Bob Beales will be performing exhibition laps along with other classic VW/Audi vehicles.
Sunday consists of Cycle race/leisure ride on track in the morning, bike show and shine, childrens treasure hunt, Classic Show and Shine, Clubstand and parade lap of all Show and Shine entrants.
The trade village will be open all weekend.

Let me know if anyone would like to attend in either show and shine, clubstand, trade or autojumble capacity(free pitch, just needs normal entry ticket), and I will arrange

Is there a timetable available anywhere, for those of us who don't do Facebook

I'm still awaiting confirmed track times from the BRSCC and MSV, I will have band timings etc in the next day or so. As soon as I have a schedule I will post it up here

BRSCC have uploaded this as the provisional timetable for the race meeting - not sure if this has actually been sent out yet.

We went yesterday and thought it was a great show. It seemed well attended and using Oulton park as a location seems inspired as it has so much space. Having the racing on the Saturday as well would have been a great bonus, though I couldn't attend that day.

I think Will & Kate have put on a well organsied & well attended first year. I'm hoping they are keen enough to do another one and I'm sure it will be bigger with more traders willing to attend.

I'll post some photos from the parade lap later today when I have downloaded them from my daughters phone - this was the highlight of show for all three of us. In the meantime here are a few (sorry a bit washed out due to the sunshine) from the show'nshine.

Wow... Well I didn't expect quite as much of a turnout as the show received! On the show area we even managed a small type 3&4 contingent with Angelo and David along with myself, hope you guys enjoyed the parade lap







We did get a few noise complaints from local residents for firing up All Torque onSaturday though, whoops!

You beat me to it David! Was nice to catch up again, I was watching the type 4 make its way round the track

Not the most amazing vid Angelo but you can clearly see a yellow fasty approaching the bend, I was up behind the Fogarty-moss centre packing up and having a sneaky watch

Loving the pics David, most jealous, I didn't get to do the parade (the wife was cracking the whip and had me working), looks great though!

Yeah, should of mingled more, but was nice just hangin out in the sun with some most needed shade by a tree. Reminded me of the Bug Jam's of old when they were in single figures LOL

There was a photographer at the exit of Lodge and I'd love to see his photographs. I did my very best to be on the right line, but for obvious reasons couldn't be as enthusiastic as Bengt Jansson
