I couldn't make it this year but was travelling up the M1 today and at about 16:05 I saw a blue type 3 fastback heading south at Crick - would that be you George ?

I'm sure that would have been George, but if it wasn't they missed out on an excellent meeting! We had 2 Notches, 1 Variant, 4 Fastbacks, a 412 Sedan and a 412 Variant - a brilliant cross section of the club, only embarrassing that I had the Golf 3 Variant instead of my proper Variant, which is awaiting my attention in various ways.
The rain and strong winds forecast earlier in the week held off, and we were all able to enjoy the event.

The only downside for us was the 5 hours it took us to get back to Bristol, due to road closures (couldn't get onto the M6 - were sent onto the A14 to Northampton) and massive queues to get off the A34 near Oxford, which had also been closed - emergency gas repairs apparently.
Dave.

I expect that was me on the way back down to Reading! Was a great show and nice to meet other members of the club. A fine turn out of lovely cars, in particular I did like the type 4’s (sure I will get one, one day). I took two quick photos only showing half the cars :( , but I attach as below.
