Midland Automobile Club Classic 27th April 2014

Post by Editor » 6th February 2014 - 1:07am

The next MAC Classic on Sunday, April 27th 2014 will be a real classic car extravaganza! Experience gained from the three previous highly successful Classic events in 2007, 2010 and 2012 will ensure the 2014 event is even better!

There is a choice of four start venues:

* Cotswold Airport, Cirencester.
* Halfpenny Green Vineyard, Bobbington.
* National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull.
* Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, Worcester.

After enjoying a full English breakfast and putting the commemorative tour plate on the car, crews will leave the starts to follow a tulip route road book tour through the best of glorious countryside in England and, from some starts, through parts of Wales. All routes will be approximately 100 miles to finish at our famous Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb venue.

On arrival at Shelsley, scene of a recent “Father Brown” episode on BBC TV, cars will be parked in the paddock and car park before drivers and passenger ascend the Hill on an untimed, non-competitive run. Our photographers will be busy perfecting the shots of your car in action.

Brass bands etc as well. Sounds fun, but as it's a fund-raising event, the entry is £85 per car with 2 occupants.

Maybe we should do something like it for our club... Anyone fancy organising it?
Dave.
