Needs a bit of TLC
My 1965 Variant
Re: My 1965 Variant
Looks reasonably solid though mate - loving the old skool heated rear window
Re: My 1965 Variant
Thank you and yes for a UK car it is very good, probably helped that it had sat in a garage since 76 so it hasnt had years of exposure to wet salty uk roads.
Went in for some welding at the weekend too so hope to get her back by end of Feb. Aim is back on the road in time for EBI....fingers crossed
The guy who owned it used to rent these and beetles out in the 60's and 70's and he was very hands on but some of his electrical modifications were a bit heath Robinson, with the exception of the rear reflectors converted into reversing lights, they have been done quite well.

Re: My 1965 Variant
Those accessory HRWs did work for a time, but with cars kept outside, once damp got in, the glue failed and they tended to peel off.
Dave.
