I think I've finally cracked the code!

Post by ozziefasty » 11th September 2007 - 12:27am

Sorry it took so long to get these photos up, I couldn't crack the code, but thanks to some help from Nitro, I can now share my pride and joy.
I have also posted on the Members' Car and Projects Forum, with a separate saga on the wheels for the Fastback. So here she is:
Just after I bought her, with Empi extractors fitted - not impressed by poor fit
Image
Extractors sitting far too low and rust after two weeks!
Image
Really bad fit
Image
Redesigned muffler using 100mm hotdog - excellent fit, great sound and better flow
Image
Bought some nice wheels - see topic in Projects - another story
Image
There's a definite variation in panel colour, showing obvious respray at some time in her varied career.
Image
195x50 profile tyres = 60mm (2 1/4 inch) difference in ride height!

Love is: a VW that shouldn't go, but will, because you look after it.

Nice fasty, I saw an Aussie sqaure import today down in Saunton, UK the exact same colour today. Was this just a Aussie colour?
