Which model do you have?
I've seen Pucks being towed behind 2 CV's
Both Rikki's and mine are Pan's which are a little heavier, but even so either 1500 or 1600 will tow them without trouble (ok I wouldn't cross the Alps with it!)
All I did was fit a oil temperature gauge, to keep an eye on the engine.
Obviously if your tow hitch is lower then the van is going to be a tad nose down. I shouldn't think it would be a problem, but bare in mind with a Pan there is 75kg of weight on the hitch so that will lower you even more.
Just make sure the jockey wheel is right up and that the cable is touching the floor.
Type 3 / Eriba caravaning weekend anyone?

I cooked one engine trying to average 70 mph on a long journey on the way back from Peppercorn as long as you stick to 50-55 and don't try tearing away from the lights a 1600 is fine.
