Took these pics back in 1998 in Gravesend, there was about 9 'backs in total, all late models except for the whie Square which I think was a '66,

these are the only pics I could get, went back there a couple of weeks ago to see if there still there, all have been scrapped :(

Why did it take you 9 years to go back again!!!? :shock:

the white square looks like a 69 to me going by the G plate :roll:

The chap who owned them was a mate of mi Dads, he said he'd let me know if he ever got rid of them, so was gutted when I asked about them the other week,

Im pretty sure at the time he said the Square was a '66, was RHD maybe registered late?

It was guite common for servicemen to buy them through the NAAFI, free of tax, then import them at the end of their tour. Quite a saving altogether.

I've a P-reg '73 project Squareback. Trouble is, it's becoming a very rusty parts donor I think.
