UET 233K

Post by 71 London fasty » 10th July 2008 - 1:57pm

I've finally got around to posting some pics. It ran super smooth all the way to EBI and back. Someone even put a club flyer on it. I'll post some piccies of that soon.
I found it on T3Ds website and bought it from a guy in Sheffield who'd had a light resto done it.
Here it is on steels:

And as it is now on polished original914 2 litres:

If anyone knows any history on it that'd be great.

In the club lists I can find VET 233K listed as from Doncaster and quite a few other 'VET's, but no UET 233K.

Since DVLA do list UET 233K, but not VET, it looks like a typo from way back. I guess U's and V's are easily misread.

Thanks people. Cheers Dave. Do you mean a typo on the club list? What info can you find on VET 233K? I spose I should actually become a paid up member to set the typo straight :D How do I do that? And who put that flyer on my car at EBI? Always questions!
And don't worry Graham, the steels aren't going any further than the shed. But the Porkies are staying!

Euro Bug-In ? I think Danny went to that, so it was probably him.

I've only got the owner's name and address for back then - I'm sure it was just a club typo or misread from the club form.

There's a form on the club info pages (see that forum). Just fill in and send to Barbara the treasurer with a cheque.

Cool! I'd love to know any info you might have on it as it didn't come with a great amount of history. The website I had the photos up on died so I'll try to sort out a flickr account or something.
I'm guessing it was still white when you owned it.
It's now black and running on polished original Porsche 914 2 litre fuchs. It has the standard twin carb 1600 engine although I'm not sure if this is original to the car as my mechanic believes it may at some stage have had a type 4 engine fitted. Who knows.
I'm still planning on a red TMI interior but they've become a fair bit more expensive since the dollar stopped being so superbly cheap.
Anyway, enough of my life story, I'd love to hear more about the car :D
Best wishes, Manus.
