Thought it was about time I put some pics of my 411 Variant up..... after something of a weldathon and a lot of head scratching sorting out the D jet engine, its now MOT'ed and running sweet once more...

Its a bit tatty round the edges but thats fine with me...its going to get used as a daily hack

I agree with BarbBee, very Marmite 411 there! And everyone calls the stock Type 4s Marmite cars anyway!!!!

Still good to see another one being used though

A fine looking car you got there my dad had 2 of them also had a 412 sedan automatic back in the 80's if we knew then what we know now with regard to future classics we could of saved them -:(

Glad to see its dividing opinion slightly

....I must admit I was really unsure about the orange window thing when I got it but in the two months its sat in my workshop it has really grown on me....and even the greyest of days has a lovely warm glow to it when your driving it

Ricky - I reckon orange windows in an orange panel van would work..

I've seen one with wood-effect vinyl where you've put white on the sides - like a USA 'woody'.

That seems to have been a popular look in the states as I've pictures of several type 4s with done to them...wonder where I can get some for mine

It's probably only a fablon self-adhesive material, maybe edged with pin-striping tape. There was a Polo covered in wood effect wrap and all manner of wooden items. It was doing the shows maybe 5 years ago. I think that's OTT, but it was done well.
