Wow! I decided to use the old air ride squareback touch up paint as a guide coat. After it dried, I found how wavy an OEM part can be. So.. sanding, and next is bondo, then I will sand again tonight.

This was the day in pictures... I did not get a photo of the lid covered in bondo. Did anything actually change? I forgot to take a photo of the bondo'd lid. Sadly, I have a new high spot to deal with. Grrrr...

And.. after all that, it looks like before I started the day.

I decided the color needs a touch of flake as well, so it will change a touch... or a bunch?

Building the damaged area of rocker. I did not realize how different eash end of the piece would be in 6" of length. I still have to hammer for a little after it is
tack welded into place.

How do you push out a low area in a curved area without hammer marks? So I looked around and spied a Little League baseball. Firm, but with give and a leather cover...

It worked great! Woot!

The new piece, after all the cutting, had a slight warp. Today, after breaking all sharp edges and deburring. I spent time at the 10 ton press. Now, the total roll is under 10 thou. I can live with that.

Been too dreary lately to be in the garage. We are in 3rd winter right now.

Yesterday I was able to do more sanding on the carbonfiber engine cover. I think I am finally ready to lay some filler to final sand for primer and paint. Finally!

Been trying to finish sanding up the engive cover today. Too much dust to work inside, so I worked outside until the rains came. Driver side is dang smooth now. Passenger side will have to wait for now. When done, probably 95% or more of the filler will be sanded off.
