That must mean it's not a 'country squire' any more!

Was the wood effect just a stuck on thin plastic sheet, or did it have framing etc?

very large decals! i now need to remove the glue residue somehow without harming the paint. in may, the car will get some custom paint highlights added to really make it a fye car!

Invasion '08..

Well, I always thought I would be up for it, but I got a bit frightened when I worked out how much we had spent coming over last time - it would have paid for a top quality Type 3 (I nearly said top-notch, but they go for even more!), or 1/4 of the double garage I need to build so my chilled bones can be warm working indoors.

So the jury is out on a decision at the moment. It doesn't cost as much to fly to Chicago as SF, so that's a bit of a saving anyway, and Ann(i)e reckons she's done enough invading so that's only one flight, and accommodation costs could no doubt be shared.

If I don't do these sorts of things when I can, there will come a time when I am propped up in bed surrounded by the money from my old-age pension with nothing I can do with it!

Is it near Bob and Sue, John or Jim (I know he's Wi).

Glad to hear you're thinking of going, Danny.

Dave.

Sure looks a lot nicer than before - less subtle than John's flames, but I reckon his are a bit too subtle - sanded most of his off again!

Are you going to get a man-sized board for the roofrack, Brian?

Not much sign of that orange-brown we get a lot of here on 34s.

I still like the rear, but even after all the years still not so sure about the front.

the rears will come down over the weekend! i wanted to do a progressive series of drops on the nose to see how it rides (i have spare front parts) and if it went okay, then the rears... well, now it is okay and the rears will follow!

here are some pics with updates on my cars...

Notchback Racer... trans went out, but the car actually came to life last week as a racecar!

Image

The 343 ghia is getting bagged and is up for sale at the same time. I need to sell to get to the track this year, but if it doesn't sell by July, it will stay with me and i'll just target next year for racing.
Image

The speedster got a DTM shroud that needed heavy modification to fit the 2332's width.
Image

The squareback is getting ever closer to being a driver as well. 1904cc in it, just have to adjust the clutch and bleed the brakes!
Image

The 412 is just a steady car to drive... lowered, new front seats and the flames of course.

the 412 is running very well now. and of course, that means it is for sale. next up is replacing the clutch cable on the 73 squareback so that it is a driver too.

185hp ? That makes me feel positively inadequate, Brian. How's the torque on it?

not sure... but when it was a measly 165hp it would put PerL in the back of his seat with authority!
