Never liked the original white and black interior mirror. Plus it had gone chalky and brittle. So i sourced an original '66 chrome mirror which looks much better...

I do like the white over red, and that mirror suits your car much more than the later style. Chrome was very much still a thing then :D

Always hated the white dash top. So I sourced a fairly nice black one a few years ago.

Once I got the dash together I decided to change the ash tray to an early flat one with the little chrome handle. Also swapped out the black dash knobs for some original ivory earlier ones.

Some more updates coming soon! Have slowly been getting a bit more done but have also been spending time working on my Harley Davidson Panhead.

Still been plugging away at this build.

Seats pulled apart and checked over. Painted black with the visible parts painted in Anthracite. Prepared for Brad @ Bus'N'Bug to conduct some repairs and finish them off for me.

Got my seats back a bit over a week ago. Extremely happy with how they have turned out.

I bet you are! Were they cover kits, or made from scratch?

Time for a bit more of an update on the Notch...

Panel work had been progressing nicely before the cold and damp weather started setting in

Looking very clean and straight! I must admit to being a bit slow. I hadn't realised you were actually in Australia, I know its titled aussie car. But when I hear "mid west" I think of America. It was only your cold and wet statement that made me realise you were south of the equator

About time I get this build thread updated, apologies for being slack

Knowing I was getting prepared to paint the Notch I knew I needed a decent space to work in. So dad and I decided to dig out the gravel in the second bay of the shed and prepare it for concrete.

Not only was it going to be a great space to paint and assemble the car but will also be where I put my splitty on the rotisserie and start the bodywork.

With the concrete all finished up, I got to work doing the final sanding and priming on the panels. These are the only panels I got photos of in the final prime. My first time using a spray gun, I was pretty happy with the result

With the priming all finished I got to work with applying the colour. This was all done in stages and over a period of a couple of months and as time provided.

Some more recent photos. For a first attempt at painting, I am very happy with the results after a colour sand and buff. A lot of work so far but it is becoming more rewarding as it comes together

Any harm in asking you what paint products you are using.

Still working away on the Notch. These aren't the greatest photos but the body panels back on and getting lined up. I love how the colour changes in different light. Ill have more updates coming in very soon
