now my passat is sorted and on the road will be able to get back on with the fastty.
loads to do and i am not going to miss bug jam this year, even if it has to be trailered its going :lol:

finally , can get back on the fastty.
started to bare metal all the bolt on panels, will get some pics on through the week.
loads to do and hopefully over the next few months i can make some head way. :D :D

it wont ride this low when done but i would like to be able to drop it at shows.dont plan on wrecking it after all the work thats going into it. :lol:

front wing primed and front panel sorted,other front wing to do can then start working towards the back.any way heres some pics.

been awhile but finnally got my arse in gear and got something done.on with taking all the panels to bare metal to see how good they really are, so far they are pretty dam good having only one rear wing and boot and valance to do.
it looks bloody cool in bare steel, all so been throwing a few idea,s around with a mate of mine and i think we have come up with a few good custom touches that should make this build just that little bit different.
bit of a pain but i will also be down sizeing to a smaller garage over the next couple of mounths so trying to get a lot done between now and then.will get some pics on over the weekend.

Silver with red interior looks good - Keith in America has done a Squareback like that and it looks impressive.

Looks good 'au natural' - would look good painted silver :unibrow:

but i do like the Aventador colour of the Lambo on top gear the othe nite :doubt:

I think he must have gone past that stage, but not many were silver back then. Hmm - photos are dated sequentially - and there's a bit of primer left on the bonnet...

yep still a little to sand of but should get that done through the week. going to ecth prime it then put a light coat of colour base coat on to get an idea of how it could look. :D
the colour needs to be bright to show of the intended body trim that is going to be made, more on this later. :idea: ;) ;)

finnally got the acid etch primer, over the next few days get it all down to bare steel and then primed. because the car is going to be stored for a couple of mounths in a container while i find a smaller unit i want it well protected. pics as soon as its done.
just got the tickets for the volksworld show, see you there, cant wait. :lol:

right then finnally got something done. got all the body down to bare steel and a coat of ecth primer followed by a thin coat of normal primer with a tint of colour init for effect. this is the first time its all been the same colour since i have owned it :lol:

what a difference a coat of paint makes, dont get me wrong theres still loads to do but its getting there. 8)
