THE NOTCHS 1ST TRIP OUT......WITH RAC

Post by Paul Hayward » 4th June 2008 - 8:22pm

Well i got the gear selection problem out, so thought i would take it 4 a gentle drive to town and drop off some stuff at work.......really really nice drive ...till i stopped! plumes of smoke pourin out of the heat exchangers! ..it was so bad 4 a mo i thought it mybe on fire, a friend called and i was assured to not worry too much ...its just crud and oil burning off after so many years in storage.

waited half hour thought i would get her home and remove the exchangers etc.. got about a mile up the road and limped into the local leisure centre as had fuel starvation or some thing!

thought it best to get the rac to get me home as no luck getting her going and best idea considering how much smoke was coming out of the exchangers earlier! missed our local vw meet 2 nite as well! got 7 more days 2 get it sorted..........then enjoy at last :D :D

Hi,

Thats a very familiar picture. My seablue 64 Notch has been on the back of AA trucks for the last two months

Two engine builds later, i think it may be sorted! I bloody hope!

Cheers,Al

Those Flat 4 Sprint Stars looks excellent on your Notch!

This is a gorgeous car! Love Sprintstars too - in fact so much I've been thinking about changing the hubs on my Bus to accept wide five pattern wheels!! 8)
