have ahd this since may after selling my split panel, decided that need to make my own mark on it , going to change the wheels and rebiuld the engine have already got the lineloc in and stereo setup :D

have stripped the engine( 2litre type 4) ready for the rebuild, will have fast cam,96mm pistons, reworked heads, twin 44 idf carbs, msd dizzy,6al,rev control box, leads, porsche racing horizontol shroud

picked these 2ltr american eagle reps up today, need a good polish but could not resist and and try them on the car :badgrin: going to have 195/60/15s on the rear and 145/65/15s on the front

cheers dude, just been reading your thread, nice collection, what gearbox is in the racecar notch, also what time for the 1/4 mile has it done?

the race car has a spooled 'mystery' trans in it... the car hasn't been on the track yet... i've spent the last 2 years creeping along trying to get it ready.

the transmission came out of an old bug racecar that no one can remember the gearing for. so, i don't know yet. but it has a spool and welded gears (they could remember that part).

my notch is running a beetle GT box so should be ok for a few 1/4 mile runs, wil see how it goes and maybe get a street/strip rancho box next year :p

Also have a 50hp NOS kit in the garage which was thinking of using :badgrin:

got evrything for the engine rebuild so will make a start tomorrow, will take plenty of pics ;)

got the bottom end together today,sorry for crappy pictures as camera is abit poo :(

put crank back together with all new bearings, new cam in too(280x435 eurorace grind e cam)

Picture of case back together and torqued up, no binding and all movement is nice and free :D

next job is to put these 96mm AA balanced B+Ps in

and these bargain AMC heads i got :) , stock valves but have mildly ported and polished them, looking at new heads next year

also been cleaning, wet and drying the 2litre alloys while watching telly at nite :shock: :? taking foreva but wil be worth while in the end :lol:

got bored of polishing the wheels so have sprayed them black till get funds to get them done by someone else :D also got me tyres back on, the rears are 205/70/15s and the fronts are 145/65/15 :evil:

really pleased with the wheels and tyre combo, have a few ideas on how to get the cool air to the shroud ;) also thinking of a turbo :roll: , just need to get a few more parts :D

hey man i like ur tyre and wheel combo, what size wheels are they 5j or 5.5? also how much is it lowered allround, and is there any rubbing issues?

wheels are american eagle 2litre reps, not sure on how many splines it has been lowered as already done when brought the car, has no rubbing issues but there is not much clearence from the top of the rear tyre to the top of arch :shock: am running spax adjustable shocks all round and have set them to hard :lol:
