Buzza's 1965 1500s Notchback

Post by buzza » 14th July 2005 - 9:27pm

Hello All,

Here are a couple of photo's of my 1965 Notchback 1500s. Am relatively new to the site and am impressed with all your Type 3's etc. You may notice from the letters on the number plate (MN) that I live on the Isle of Man - a place where life is lived at a steady pace, just like it should be....a great place to own an aircooled.....

Thanks. Still running the original 6volts and just coming up to 82k miles. She's used on a regular basis and runs sweet. Hoping to visit the Deva Dubs & Rods at Chester Race Course in early August but will be without the notch unfortunately!

Hi Tuna - Not that I'm aware of but will do some investigating for you.

I see you're a bolton lad - from your neck of the woods originally. Think I'm officially classed as a cow yed being from Westhoughton!

How doo Tuna,

No luck locating parts for you. Will keep an eye out and let you know if anything cropps up - these things tend to crop up when you least expect it.
What I did find though was a guy flogging a Type 182 Trekker.

Ended up on the IOM in 1987 when family moved here. Still get back to Westhoughton on a regular basis to visit family. No doubt you were a regular in the three pigeons & tavern pubs eh??
